Michael Kress is a writer and editor for newspapers, magazines,
books, and websites. His news, feature, and personal articles on religion and spirituality have appeared in many major national
and local publications and websites, including Newsweek, The Dallas Morning News, The Boston Globe, Slate.com, Salon.com,
and Beliefnet.com, where he was a founding editor.
He currently is the editor-in-chief of MyJewishLearning.com, the
leading pluralistic Jewish educational website.
He was a contributing writer for Spiritual Innovators (SkyLightPaths)
and edited/ghostwrote the essays for Rabbis: The Many Faces of Judaism (Rizzoli). He holds a BA from Yale and a Masters of
Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, where he studied American religious pluralism and American religious history.
He lives in Cambridge, Mass., with his wife, Stephanie Nussbaum Kress, an architect.
